Former Ohio caregiver accused of stealing from elderly woman, selling her vehicle

TOLEDO, Ohio (WKRC) – A former Ohio caregiver was accused of stealing from an elderly woman and selling her car.

According to WTVG, 54-year-old Darnita Turner was taken into custody after she allegedly stole from a 97-year-old woman she was hired to take care of.

The report states that Turner allegedly took an insurance reimbursement check valued at more than $500 and forged the victim’s signature to deposit into her personal bank account. Turner also allegedly changed the title for the victim’s car and sold it, according to WTVG, which cited reports…
