‘A sweet proposal’: Lubbock love story comes full circle at local creamery

LUBBOCK, Texas— Jourdan Diaz and his new fiancée, Keira Lopez, first met as teenagers in 2022. At the time, Diaz was a high school sophomore working at the local ice cream shop, J’s Creamery. Lopez began working there in May 2022, and they have been in love ever since.

Diaz shared with EverythingLubbock.com that his initial plan was to propose during a trip they had planned to New York City. His excitement to propose led him to choose a place significant to them: the desert parlor where they first fell in love and continue to work.
