LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A driver who police say tried to avoid a traffic stop crashed a short time later Monday evening.
According to LPD, an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop on Slide Road near 37th Street at 9:43 p.m. The driver didn’t stop, leading the officer to initiate a pursuit, which didn’t last long.
The driver crashed into a utility pole and tree near Slide Road and 46th Street.
LPD reports one person suffered moderate injuries and was cleared by EMS. That person was then taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center…
