Man arrested after deputies break down door to save domestic violence victim

(SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo.) — A man has been arrested after deputies allegedly had to break in a bathroom door to stop the suspect attacking a victim in Security-Widefield over the weekend.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, dispatchers received a 911 call from a home in the 500 block of Norman Drive, near Widefield High School. EPSO said during the call, a person could be heard screaming for help as a “violent disturbance” occurred in the background.

EPSO said deputies responded immediately, and when they arrived, a person opened the front door and told deputies the suspect was “beating” the victim in a bathroom. Deputies entered the home and had to force their way into a room with a locked door, where they found an adult man, identified as 42-year-old Sean Tierney, and a victim with visible head injuries…
