A pair of Northern Colorado diners are set to reopen under their former ownership, but the legal battle surrounding them is not over yet.
Doug’s Diner restaurants in Fort Collins and Greeley temporarily closed in late October — two months after a lawsuit over alleged unpaid payments and counterclaims of breaches of contract, fraud and defamation started pitting the eateries’ new and old owners against each other, according to past Coloradoan reporting.
The restaurants had been sold to new franchisees — Fort Fun Foodies Inc., which purchased the Fort Collins diner from Rickey Bruening Inc., and Girl Grub Inc., which purchased the Greeley diner from Milo Inc. — last summer…
