Longtime Covington Resident and Veteran Officer Robert Fain Rejoins Local Police Department

On November 3, 2025, Officer Robert Fain was sworn back into the Covington Police Department in Kentucky. The ceremony took place at City Hall. Mayor Ron Washington administered the oath. Lt. Col. Josh Bornhorn gave Fain his badge. Fain returns after serving the department for 20 years in roles such as Bike Patrol, Field Training Officer, detective, and sergeant.

Fain is a longtime Covington resident and holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Anderson University. He will serve as a Patrol Officer and complete the required training for retiree-rehire officers. Lt. Col. Bornhorn noted Fain’s experience and his work with younger officers.
