COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) -The Washington Street Methodist Church in downtown Columbia opened its doors Monday to offer more than just a meal — it provided warmth, conversation and comfort to those in need.
Typically known for handing out bagged lunches, the church hosted a sit-down lunch for anyone seeking a hot meal and a moment of fellowship. Volunteers served plates of barbecue chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans and dessert to dozens of guests.
