Parkview works to increase awareness, access to lung cancer screenings

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Ahead of National Lung Cancer Screening Day Saturday, Nov. 8, Parkview Health is working to increase awareness of the disease and help make healthcare more accessible for patients.

Parkview plans to host lung cancer screenings at many of its hospitals in order to increase accessibility by providing more scheduling options Saturday.

According to the National Cancer Institute, lung cancer causes more deaths in the U.S. than all other forms of cancer and nearly outpaces breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer deaths combined…
