Knoxville man accused of making 2 fake 911 calls about road rage, shooting to harass ex-girlfriend

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A 20-year-old man is facing charges after Knox County deputies learned he made a fake 911 call using his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend’s name.

Braden Taylor, 20, is charged with making a 911 call in a non emergency situation.

According to a warrant for Taylor’s arrest, deputies were called to the 7500 block of Copper Lantern Drive on Sunday around 7:25 p.m. The caller, later identified as Taylor, said his wife was involved in a road rage incident where a man in a blue Ford Ranger pointed a firearm at her, the warrant says. He said his wife followed the truck to the Copper Lantern Drive address and was waiting up the street for deputies…
