Another round of school closures? Not yet – but Lubbock ISD is already asking parents and neighborhoods for help before making tough decisions – possibly for the fall of 2026.
The most recent round of school closures was painful, emotional and controversial nearly a year ago when the Board of Trustees voted to close Hodges Elementary School along with Overton Elementary and O.L. Slaton Middle School.
