Ambulance provider to close Boulder location, laying off 87 in the process

DENVER (KDVR) — American Medical Response told the state Friday that it was closing its Boulder facility on Pearl Street, impacting nearly 90 employees.

The information was shared in a WARN notice filed with the state of Colorado’s Department of Labor and Employment. AMR said that its facility at 3800 Pearl St. will be closed, effective Dec. 31, 2025.

The move will impact 87 employees who are currently employed at the facility, AMR said. The company said that it “intends to offer a transfer to 23 of the affected Boulder location employees to a role in the same job title at the Company’s Denver area locations.”
