AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Dozens of families received boxes of food on Saturday as local organizations worked to make sure families don’t go hungry during the government shutdown.
Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits were paused on November 1, leaving over 40 million low-income Americans without access to the benefits that help put food on their tables.
