Ann Arbor Residents Invited to Learn About New Community-Owned Renewable Energy Utility at Washtenaw Economic Club Luncheon

The Washtenaw Economic Club will hold a luncheon on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The event will feature Shoshannah Lenski, executive director of Ann Arbor’s new Sustainable Energy Utility. Lenski will speak about the city’s community-owned, 100% renewable energy utility. The utility was approved by voters in November 2024 and launched in April 2025. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor.

Lenski has worked at DTE Energy, Boston Consulting Group, and the University of Michigan. She is also a trustee for local science and nature organizations. The Washtenaw Economic Club hosts events for business leaders to discuss economic issues. Tickets for the luncheon are available online…
