BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A local church in Asheville is working to meet the needs of the thousands of residents affected by the gap in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as the government shutdown continues.
Covenant Community Church has launched a new effort called “Closing the Gap on SNAP.”
Through this initiative, they’re doing two things: giving out “A day’s meal” food bags as well as Ingles gift cards…
