More passes than failures in school levies, bond issues across Greater Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Some of Greater Cincinnati’s biggest school districts were on the ballot on Tuesday.

Cincinnati Public had a renewal levy on the ballot that generates 48 million a year for the district and funds Cincinnati’s Preschool Promise. CPS leaders say the money generated accounts for five percent of the district’s operating budget.

“I am feeling amazing. I am so proud of the people of Cincinnati; they are clearly standing with us as we continue to work to be here for kids and this passing of Issue 28, this $48 million for the next 10 years,” said superintendent Shauna Murphy. “Thank you to the people of Cincinnati.”…
