Pet store chain offers free food during federal shutdown

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A central Ohio business is making sure families and their pets don’t go hungry during the government shutdown.

Mutts & Co., a pet store with nine locations around Columbus, is offering free dog or cat food to furloughed government workers and SNAP recipients being impacted by the shutdown.

Each eligible person can get one small four-pound bag of pet food per week by showing a government ID or SNAP EBT card…
