A Florida fishing community is in mourning after a boat crash claimed the life of a 27-year-old man.
In a news release shared with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Nov. 4, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said authorities responded to an incident involving a boat in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, on Saturday, Nov. 1.
“Preliminary information indicates that at approximately 9:07 p.m., an individual was operating a 22’ vessel in Charlotte Harbor near Fisherman’s Village Marina when the vessel crashed into a rock jetty, ejecting the operator,” the agency said…
