MIAMI — A dispute over a $40 phone bill ended in gunfire last week when a man was shot multiple times in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, according to police.
Steven Green, 56, was arrested Saturday and charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection with the shooting, which occurred just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Biscayne Court Apartments, located at 5211 NW 17th Ave.
Investigators said the victim told detectives he encountered Green — whom he knows by the nickname “Blackey” — outside a nearby liquor store and confronted him about the unpaid debt. The two later moved to a stairwell inside the apartment complex, where the confrontation escalated…
