KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County commissioners have one leftover piece of business from their recently approved 2026 budget that they plan to take up tomorrow.
The board has set aside $200,000 for the past two years to fund an organized competition to pay for community projects that meet their priorities. The first year, it didn’t happen so this time they have $400,000 to spend and a partially completed process for whittling down the list of applicants.
They were expecting to do it before the budget was approved, but documents didn’t get sent out and the board put off the final cut until this meeting…
