Furry Friends: Nellie knows how to make you smile!

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)—WFXR News highlights pets ready for adoption in area shelters through our weekly segment, Furry Friends!

On Tuesday, November 4, Kathy Bauman and Anita Finkle with the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) brought Nellie to the WFXR News Studio.

Nellie is all smiles! This charming ten-year-old pup is considered a senior dog, but he is not aware of his age. Nellie is still full of energy and loves to play! He rides well in the car and would love to go on adventures.

Furry Friends: Shine can light up your life!

Nellie has gotten along with other dogs and loves meeting people. He’s housebroken and treat-motivated. Overall, Nellie would do well in an active household that can take him on walks and play with him!

This sweet boy is not ready to retire just yet! He would love to find a home where he can share all of his love and cheerfulness!
