15-year-old arrested for Opelousas robbery and shooting; more arrests expected

A teen was arrested after a man was robbed and shot during a meeting to buy a gun accessory, according to the Opelousas Police Department. A 15-year-old is charged with attempted first-degree murder (2 counts) and armed robbery. Police said the shooting happened near Plaisance Street and Lincoln Street on Monday, November 3. They added the victim got into a vehicle, where someone else restrained him while the 15-year-old took money from the victim’s pocket.
