Milwaukee Common Council approves ordinance to crack down on reckless driving

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee leaders are moving forward with a new ordinance to further tackle reckless driving.

The ordinance allows police to impound any vehicle used in a reckless driving incident, even if it’s the driver’s first offense, and regardless of who owns the vehicle.

Alderman Lamont Westmoreland pushed for the changes to help close some loopholes – giving officers more authority to crack down on reckless drivers…
