SWAT standoff leads to arrest of dog groomer in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department said a dog grooming employee threatened a city code enforcement inspector with cutting shears before causing a SWAT standoff. A criminal complaint stated that code enforcement went to the Barking Bad grooming business on San Pedro Boulevard on Tuesday for a license check.

Police said the employee, identified as Alexander Campbell, questioned whether the inspector’s credentials were real. At one point, police said Campbell swung the shears at the inspector. Police said Campbell then barricaded himself inside the store before eventually surrendering.
