Albuquerque, NM – A quick-acting New Mexico State Police sergeant safely recovered a missing child during a traffic stop Tuesday evening after a License Plate Reader (LPR) alert flagged a vehicle linked to a child abduction case.
According to the New Mexico State Police, the stop occurred around 7:35 p.m. on November 3 near Prospect Avenue and San Mateo Boulevard in Albuquerque. Officers identified the driver as 26-year-old Jose Carrillo Gonzalez, who allegedly had a full extradition warrant out of Chandler, Arizona, for kidnapping of a minor, assault, and custodial interference…
