Boulder Police were called to a scene of a domestic disturbance turned kidnapping in the early hours yesterday. A 21-year-old woman was reportedly held against her will at a residence on the 4700 block of Edison Ave. The suspect, 35-year-old Matthew Kiriazis, is now in custody facing multiple charges, including 1st degree kidnapping and 3rd degree assault, according to the Boulder Police Department.
The situation began around 1:30 a.m., when officers received notice that the victim was being threatened and kept hostage by an individual known to her. Responding to the incident, Boulder Police SWAT and Air1 arrived at the location.
