Bodycam reveals Salt Lake police officers say parole agent refused to help track fugitive

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — On May 1, 2021, a parole fugitive shot his girlfriend to death, crashed her car on the freeway with her body inside, tried to carjack a Good Samaritan, jumped over a concrete barrier, and was at large for hours, prompting a manhunt.

Troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol requested assistance from the Salt Lake City Police Department for the public safety nightmare they were dealing with as they searched for Terence Vos — a longtime gang member once named the Metro Gang Unit’s Public Enemy No. 1 — who they believed was armed.

Most of the Salt Lake officers knew who they were looking for. Vos, a documented member of the Black Mafia Gangsters criminal street gang, had the moniker “Baby T-Nova” and had a long history of committing violent crimes, mostly in the capital city…
