Local government building closed in downtown Ann Arbor after ‘security incident’

ANN ARBOR, MI – A local government building in downtown Ann Arbor was closed Tuesday after what Washtenaw County employees were told was a reported “security incident” at the facility.

County Administrator Greg Dill issued a message to county personnel and elected officials late Monday citing an incident at the Annex building, which includes facilities for Community Mental Health at 110 N. Fourth Ave.

There was “no ongoing threat,” but he said “out of an abundance of caution” the Annex was shuttered Tuesday, Nov. 4. The doors also remained locked with notices of the closure posted at the site’s entrance as of Tuesday afternoon…
