About 200 people lined up to receive a free meal in Birmingham Tuesday night. A dozen food trucks teamed up to give out free meals to SNAP recipients and federal workers during the shutdown. One of them, was Angela Harper.
“Being hungry, not having anything to eat, looking in your refrigerator, it’s a sad situation. Knowing we gonna leave here today with some food, just full of joy,” she said.
