Columbia mayor, District 1 races have apparent winners, other two council seats head to runoff

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann is the presumed winner of a second term in office while two other city council seats in the capital city are headed for a runoff.

The city’s mayor, one of its at-large seats, and Council Districts One and Four were all on the ballot in Tuesday’s municipal election. The winners will serve four-year terms. See all Midlands of South Carolina 2025 municipal election results.
