JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 46-year-old charged with military desertion 24 years ago was taken into custody Saturday when he was flagged while trying to board a ship at the JaxPort Cruise Terminal, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
According to the arrest report, Customs and Border Protection stopped the man when he was trying to board because he had an active arrest warrant against him.
