Halls High School Student Injured in Stabbing During Class; Investigation Ongoing

On Monday morning, Knox County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a stabbing at Halls High School involving two male students. The incident took place during a barbering class, where a 16-year-old student is accused of stabbing a 15-year-old student with a sharp object that was not a knife.

The 15-year-old was taken to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. The 16-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault and is in custody.
