Determining winner for third Roanoke County school board seat could take days

The Roanoke County School Board race for the Windsor Hill seat may come down to provisional and absentee ballots.

Ryan White, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, holds a slim lead over incumbent Cheryl Facciani, who was first elected in 2021.

White had 49.89% of the vote as of Wednesday morning, while Facciani had received 49.19%. They are separated by 60 votes, according to unofficial results from the Virginia Department of Elections.
