Gloria Verdine enrolled in Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program while facing several challenges. She dealt with transportation problems, job loss, and eviction. She says her family, friends, and neighbors helped her during these times.
Gloria decided to pursue dental assisting because she values the importance of dental health and wants to set an example for her five children. She previously worked as a correctional officer and wanted a career that allowed more time with her family. At home, she encouraged her children to practice good oral hygiene.
Gloria chose Carrington College after visiting the campus and speaking with current Dental Assisting students. She appreciated the supportive environment and positive feedback from students. She believed the program would offer her a stable career and flexibility for her family…
