First Alert Forecast: warming trend underway, crash likely in a few days

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Mainly dry skies should permit 70+ temperatures on the Cape Fear map each afternoon through Sunday. Beware: a strong Sunday night cold frontal passage will jerk highs down to the 50s for Monday and Veterans Day and draw Monday night’s lows deep into the 30s. Will parts of the area get their first fall freeze? Will breezes die enough for frost? These are good possibilities; your First Alert Weather Team will advise.

New tropical storm development remains unlikely across the Atlantic Basin.
