Delmarva Power & Light, a subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, has applied for permits to operate six emergency generators at different locations in Delaware. Five generators have a capacity of 2,000 kW (2,695 HP) each. One generator has a capacity of 617 kW (932 HP). The proposed sites include Wilmington, Dover, Lewes, Bethany Beach, and other towns in the state.
