Berkeley County deputies seek help finding man wanted on several fraud charges

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Berkeley County deputies are asking for the public’s help to find a Columbia man who allegedly posed as a Stokes Chevrolet employee to fraudulently purchase several items.

Johnny Allen Ray, 32, of Enclave Way, is wanted for forgery, financial identity fraud, larceny, and breach of trust.

An employee at Parks Auto Parks filed a complaint with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in August, stating a man had come in and fraudulently purchased several car parts posing as a Stokes Chevrolet employee, according to the agency.

Several orders were placed over the phone under different names, and all the purchases were charged to the dealership’s account, a spokesperson for BCSO explained…
