Gainesville, FL – A heavy law enforcement presence was reported Wednesday evening in Alachua County after a foot pursuit involving the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The incident occurred in the area of West Newberry Road and NW 75th Street, according to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said multiple agencies, including the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, FHP, and the Gainesville Police Department, responded to assist. The large police response prompted public concern as officers temporarily filled the area during the active investigation.
