GOBLES, Mich. — A fire destroyed an Allegan County community staple early Wednesday morning.
According to the Gobles Pine Grove Fire Department, Merson Country Store, on the corner of 102nd Avenue and M-40 in Trowbridge Township, is considered a total loss.
Firefighters responded to the fire at about 6 a.m., and battled flames for three-and-a-half hours before the fire was put out. No one was injured.
