Man gets 30 years after girlfriend killed in crossfire of drug-fueled shootout in Montgomery

A Montgomery man has been sentenced to prison for the shooting death of his girlfriend who was caught in the crossfire of a drug-fueled shootout.

Stevie Coleman, 36, pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony murder for the 2020 death of 23-year-old Stephanie Hale. The plea agreement called for Coleman to serve 30 years, said Montgomery County District Attorney Azzie Oliver.
