Cedar Rapids pledges $25,000 to support HACAP food reservoir amid federal shutdown

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell says the City of Cedar Rapids is taking emergency action to help families struggling during the ongoing federal government shutdown.

In a post shared Wednesday, O’Donnell announced that she and the City Council have issued an emergency proclamation to allocate up to $25,000 for HACAP’s food reservoir, which supplies food banks and pantries across eastern Iowa.
