Nueces County ESD#1
In Nueces County, Proposition A has passed for Emergency Services District 1. The measure enables the county to expand fire and EMS protection into rural areas that currently lack comprehensive coverage, bringing first responders closer to unserved communities and reducing response times.
The plan also includes a modest tax increase to help fund the construction of new stations and crews. As we mentioned yesterday, property taxes will not go up for residents already living within an existing ESD.
