‘They basically just need to maintain it’: Neighbors say a former apartment complex site is an overgrown mess

HOUSTON, Texas — An old sign is all that’s left of the Tree Tops at Post Oak apartments which were demolished in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

“It was two feet from the ceiling of these young women’s apartment,” said longtime neighbor Diane Barkin. “And we saw books floating in there, after Harvey.”

Barkin’s balcony now overlooks the partially overgrown property…
