Two arrested in Lubbock after bus stop robbery

LUBBOCK, Texas — Carl Robinson, 59, was arrested on Tuesday, November 4, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and aggravated robbery. Ismael Villarreal, 20, was also arrested Wednesday, November 5, for charges of aggravated robbery and the unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to an official affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, Lubbock police were dispatched to a robbery call at a bus stop in the 800 block of Broadway. Upon arrival, an officer spoke to a victim who described that while they were waiting for a bus, two suspects approached him, one of which was wearing an orange backpack and had a small dog.

According to official documents, the victim said that one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and put it to the side of the victim’s head, forcing the victim to give them their cellphones and cash. The suspects then left walking westbound after the incident. Staff for the bus told police that they recognized the two suspects as Carl and Ismael, and told the officers that they resided at a hotel in the 600 block of Avenue Q…
