Local Police Respond to 402 Calls in 24 Hours, Including Domestic Incidents and Missing Person Case

Between 6:00 a.m. on November 4 and 6:00 a.m. on November 5, 2025, local police responded to 402 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or accidental 911 calls. Calls were distributed across city districts: East had 91, Midtown 84, North 80, Central 52, West 47, South 38, and 10 were listed as ‘Other.’ The ‘Other’ category includes incidents outside city sectors or those involving assistance to other law enforcement agencies.

During this 24-hour period, officers prioritized calls due to limited resources and staffing. This was necessary between 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., and again from 12:47 p.m. to 1:32 p.m. on November 4. Only priority calls were handled during these times.

Several incidents were reported. In the East district at 9:49 a.m., a person was taken into protective custody due to intoxication and transported to a hospital after detox services were unavailable. Officers left after the individual was in medical care…
