Woman pleads guilty to being an accomplice of accused murderer in New Mexico

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A New Mexico woman has pleaded guilty to accompanying a suspected murderer on a crime spree. Zachary Babitz is facing the death penalty after being accused of murdering an 83-year-old man during a carjacking outside a Santa Fe Best Buy. During his crime spree, he robbed an AutoZone, a Wells Fargo, and a Jersey Mike’s in the span of a few days.

Court documents said that Babitz was with a woman named Jessie Dominguez when he carjacked a different car in Albuquerque, then drove to Las Cruces. That’s when investigators said that he and Dominguez held up an Arby’s at gunpoint, before committing yet another carjacking. Dominguez is facing up to 40 years in prison…
