At about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, a vehicle plowed through a King Soopers on the westside of Colorado Springs, resulting in multiple injuries.
According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, six people were injured in the incident, with the vehicle punching a hole through the outside of the building and ending up in the area of the checkout lanes of the grocery store, which is located at 19th Street and Uintah. The vehicle seen in images from the scene is a Rivian SUV.
According to a report from the Colorado Springs Gazette, the vehicle entered the King Soopers parking lot off of Uintah Street before making a right turn and driving toward the grocery store at a high rate of speed.
