BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Birmingham is taking steps to make sure those affected by the loss of SNAP benefits have food on their table.
The city is taking food donations to support food banks around the Magic City this week. The city said one in four Birmingham households rely on SNAP benefits. So with them being lapsed, it is asking for any food people can donate.
