Dates set for 2025 Presque Isle Deer Hunt

(WJET/WFXP)– The annual two-day deer hunt at Presque Isle State Park is returning for another year, with the dates set for local hunters to harvest antlered and antlerless deer.

The park is accepting up to 85 hunters on December 10 and 11 to help with the park’s deer population using non-semi-automatic shotguns loaded with slug rounds, black-powder muzzleloaders or archery.

Hunters can only join in on the tradition by calling the park office for an application on weekdays starting Wednesday, November 12, from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM.

Park officials said applicants will need to provide the numbers of a valid Pennsylvania Hunting License with unused Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 1B Tags or DMAP Unit 562 Tags when they sign up…
