KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — If you drive through Knoxville traffic, you might not be surprised by this: four of the five busiest stretches of roadway in Tennessee are all different parts of Interstate 40 in Knox County, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
Because the highway is so packed every day, first responders are constantly rushing to help people along I-40. But while they’re keeping drivers safe, they say too many motorists are breaking one law meant to keep them safe too.
