ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A chase on Thursday involving a car reported stolen from Greece crossed town lines, traversing through multiple Rochester neighborhoods.

News10NBC’s photojournalist saw part of the chase after 1 a.m. as it passed through Joseph Avenue near Avenue D. Greece Police say it all started around 12:50 a.m., when officers responded to a report of a stolen Hyundai Santa Fe on Briarcliff Road.

Police say they soon spotted the car on Dewey Avenue with the help of a license plate reader. As News10NBC has covered, these readers hang by power poles or traffic lights and scan for license plates of cars reported stolen or with arrest warrants attached to them…
